About Get Admitted MD

David Janiczek, MD is the founder of Get Admitted MD and is a midwest native. He attended the University of Iowa for both his undergraduate degree in Human Physiology and the University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine for his MD, one of the top 30 medical schools in the country.  After completing his anesthesia residency at the University of Illinois-Chicago, he completed a fellowship in Cardiothoracic Anesthesia at the Ochsner Clinic Foundation in New Orleans. He is currently a cardiothoracic anesthesiologist in private practice in California.   

As a member of Carver College of Medicine’s Admissions Committee for two consecutive cycles, Dr. Janiczek has reviewed hundreds of applications and was a key voice in the admissions process.  During his medical school tenure, he also served as a pre-medical advisor where he helped pre-medical students with their medical school applications as well as giving advice on the pre-medical journey as a whole.  He is dedicated to helping students navigate the ins and outs of medical school and mentors medical students in his spare time.
